Mazdūron̲ kā gīt / Workers’ Song

Agreed that we are broken with toil

And far, far from enjoying leisure;

But we are forced to fight;

We are workers! Workers we!

.

Though stricken with sorrow and woes,

We are not dust, we are stars;

We are the darlings of this world;

We are workers! Workers we!

.

We have the longing to become something;

We have the heart to die;

We are rebels; we hold our heads high;

We are workers! Workers we!

.

Though mired in hardship,

We assert to all:

We are the world’s greatest!

We are workers! Workers we!

.

In whichever direction we advance,

Kings’ standards bow.

We are heroes; warriors.

We are workers! Workers we!

.

Though many times our life was in danger,

We did what we resolved to do;

We are pure of heart, strong in determination.

We are workers! Workers we!

.

What we are, we shall show one day.

We will destroy this old order;

We will shake earth and sky.

We are workers! Workers we!

.

We have strength in our bodies,

Warmth in our hearts;

We are determined to revolt.

We are workers! Workers we!

.

The day we rise in revolt

We shall create world havoc;

We will turn dreams into reality;

We are workers! Workers we!

.

   ~~~
         .
We will take possession of power;
We will attack the emperor;
We will charge the army;
We are workers! Workers we!
