Maryam Iraj

Maryam Iraj is associated with MULOSIGE, SOAS, as a translator. She is proficient in three languages: Urdu, Punjabi and English. Iraj also holds an M.Phil. Degree in Teaching of English as a Second Language (TESL) which immensely complemented her career of more than a decade as a language teacher at major universities. She completed her M.Phil. Dissertation on The Identity Construction of Religious Minorities in the National Education Policy (2009) of Pakistan to uncover the latent discourse of language which is constitutive of social identities, social relations and systems of knowledge and beliefs. She attended University of California, Davis, as a Fulbright Scholar, for the academic year 2006-2007.
