Āk̲h̲irī din kī talāsh / Search for the Last Day

God says in the Quran:

.

O people, I have

made the sky for you,

illumined it

with moon and sun.

O people,

I made the earth

for you;

on its chest

I drew river-lines,

seated the oceans

on earth’s lap,

propped up mountains

grew trees

from which I bring forth

flowers and fruit.

O people,

for you I made

the day

for work,

the night

for rest.

O people,

I made all this

for you.

But never forget

that one day

I will gather to

Myself

all these things.

.

What He says is true,

But no one knows

when that day will be,

That last day when

God will gather up

all these things.

I search for that day

Because all these things

have become

.

Old,

Frayed.

.
